Chloe delivers April 6th

Chloe another favorite ewe has delivered these two beautiful little ewes.  Both have very consistent crimpy fleeces. Yeah!!
I expected Kamogets from her this year, as she is moget and the Sire; Evaristo is Katmoget.  But this little ewe looks like she will go musket in color.  We will have to wait and see it the katmoget pattern develops.
Evaristo is one of our own rams, last years micron results on him, micron ave 20.9 & CF 97.4

  1. I've never seen katmoget "develop;" it's very clear at birth. If both parents carry a solid or Ag gene (along with their other pattern gene), the lamb could inherit those.

  2. Thanks for the info. I am not "up" on all the patterns...& then it gets confusing when you get spots. Any time you want to share your knowledge on markings or patterns, please do!

    1. I don't know the labels for all the spotting options, but I do have the color and pattern genetics down pretty solid; love parsing those out! Glad to help if I can.
