Shearing Day, March 7, 2025 - Save the date!

 We have scheduled our Shearing day for Saturday, March 7th

we will have 51 Sheep to be shorn.  Mostly Shetlands, two Cormos, some crossbreds; Shetland/Cormo & Shetland/Border Cheviot.

We always have an "Open House" for anyone who would like to come and watch the shearing or help out.  Fleeces will be available to purchase.

Anyone who cannot make it but would be interested in a fleece, reach out to me via email, we may be able to share photos of fleeces and help you select a fleece to purchase and mail it to you.

Scheduling Shearing date & prep beforehand

 With this new year I hope to get back into the swing of things.

I wanted to share that we have put in for our sheep shearing dates, the dates haven't been confirmed yet but our plan is to shear the last weekend in February, over two days.

There will be 67 Sheep to be shorn.  A friend is bringing 15 sheep to our place so they can be shorn, another friend has 17 sheep that reside here to be shorn and I have 35 to be shorn.

I have just finished trimming hooves on all the ewes, these were the last 18 that I trimmed today.

 

All went well.  

We will have an Open House on our Shearing Days.  Raw fleeces will be available to purchase.
